KMBOV, Kiro Ferdov (Kocani, 31. ⅰ 1931) – Member of the MANA outside the working composition (1988). Scientific adviser at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences in Vinca, Belgrade. Phmirst (1963) of PMF in Belgrade. He stayed at a postdoctoral specialization at Rice University in Houston, USA (1965-1967). He worked as a guest scientist at the Center for Nuclear Research in Jilich, Germany (1973-1975) and the Japanese Institute of Atomic Research (Yoi) in Tokai (1990). The scientific research activity is aimed at the reactivity and structure of inorganic molecules. Particularly covered areas: Chemical reaction kinetics by applying stable isotopes as bookmarks; Interaction of neutral particles (atoms and molecules) with oral metal surfaces; Ionization and dissociation of molecules in conflict with electronic bundles, as well as the development of but-methods for an isotope analysis of uranium. The most significant results are in the area of masenectrometric examination of chemical processes at high temperatures. For that purpose, in his group in Vinca, a special mass spectrometer with high-temperature reactor and ionic source with a monochromatized electronic beam is constructed. The papers were quoted about 730 times. He had rich cooperation with the centers for nuclear research in Yillion and Karlsruhe, with the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Washington and the Lomonosov State University in Moscow. He was president of the Yugoslav Society for Mass Spectrometry and a member of the Scientific Council of the International Society for Mass Spectrometry. He was also director of the laboratory for physical chemistry in Vinca. Lit.: “Newsletter,” the ninth election assembly, the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Skopje, 1988, 59. B. w.
