Kitevski, Mark

Kitevski, Marko (village Slatinski Chiflik, Ohrid, 13. ⅳ 1950) – Researcher of the Macedonian folklore, scientific adviser at the Institute for Macedonian Literature. He finished the gymnasium in Struga (1969), and then graduated from the Faculty of Philology in Skopje (Yugoslav literature). At the same faculty Master’s degree in the topic “folklore elements in the works of Stale Popov” (1980) and received his PhD in the topic “Curses in the Macedonian National Folk Creation” Marko Kitevski (1990). He worked in Radio Skopje, and from October 1983. At the Institute of Macedonian Literature, where he was elected in the titles of Senior Science Associate (1990) and scientific adviser (1996). He was deputy head and head of the Institute for Macedonian Literature, an executive editor of the magazine “Spectrum”, Head and Associate of several scientific research projects at the Institute and participated in a number of domestic and international scientific meetings. He is the author of several monographs, collections and elections from folk art.
