Kacanovski, Vladimir Vasilevich

Kacanovski, Vladimir Vasilevich (Great Les, Guro Chub., Ukraine, 1. / 13. ⅲ 1853 – Nonzin, Mr., 11. / 24. ⅳ 1901) – UNIV. Prof. Following Slovenical Philology, Literacy and History, Collector and Publisher of Bulgarian and Macedonian Nar. Songs. He completed the Slavic Department of the Historical and Philology of the Warsaw University (1876), where he was also a Master’s degree (1883). He became a private-professor at the Kazani University (1886), and then he taught at the Historical and Philology Institute of the Prince of the Prince of Roboto in Nehire (1888-1901). He was studying in Romania, Greece, Italy, Turkey, France and Bulgaria, but also investigated in Macedonia (1883 and 1895-1896). The main scientific interest is history, literature and folklore of the South Slavs. He issued the periodical Collection “Western Slavy” (1888-1896), published a collection of Bolgarovo National Tests “(and 1882), and in preparation he was the Proceeding with Macedonian folk songs. He also studied the “Macedonian dialect that it takes for the dictionary”. In Dopia from Thessaloniki in “New time” (1895 and 1896) writes about the Macedonian national awareness and the independent cultural and national and social political development of the Macedonian people.
