Jovanovic, Peter.

Jovanovic, Peter (villages, Kraguevac, 10. 1893 – Belgrade, 15. Xi 1957) – Serbian geographer. He finished elementary education, and a gymnasium in Kragujevac. Faculty of Philosophy, a group of geography, began in Belgrade, continued in Rome and Paris, and finished in Belgrade (1920). He received his doctorate at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade (1922). He was an assistant to John Zvik (1919-1922), and from 1922 to 1941. Assistant, associate and full professor at the Geography Department at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, which he founded. He then went to Belgrade, where he worked at the Institute of Geography at the Faculty of Philosophy. He is the founder of the Geographical Institute at Sanu and his trustee until 1957. For a regular member of Sanu, he was elected in 1948. He participated as an expert in the FNRJ delegation at the Ministerial Conference in London (1945) and the World Peace Conference in Paris (1946). Scientific opus of academician P. J. It covers 26 papers in the field of geomorphology, 4 in the field of anthropogoography, 2 in the field of regional geography and 21 of other geographical disciplines.
