Izec, Manuil

Illova, Manuil (XI c.) – Macedonian nobleman from the famous family, a relative of the famous Samuel Walkovodec Icovec, a military leader of Peter Deljan. He made a career of the Byzantine castle, belonged to the circle of the most trusted people of Emperor Michael ⅳ (1034-1041). During the uprising of Peter Deljan (1040- 1041) joined the rebels. At the end of the uprising, Pletvar erected a demo (wooden obstacle) to prevent the advancement of the Byzantines. The dema was ruined, and he was captured. Lit: Ioannis SDNOPSIS HISTORYERUM, REC.
