Ilinden demonstrations

Ilinden demonstrations (Vardar part of Macedonia, 1940) – Mass demonstrations in Prilep, Skopje and Ohrid against the Serbian regime. Protesters called for an armed struggle for release and statehood. The President of the Government arrived in Skopje, who admitted that in Yugoslavia, a fourth nation appeared and ordered to apply sharp measures. Lit.: Sources for the history of SCM.
