The decoration of the copper (gilded) The chat tape makes this sample unique between the thirties ever discovered helmets of this type. Six print, inspired by numismatic refurers, are imprinted so that they transmit a particular symbolic message. The appearance of matrices, liturgical Greek inscriptions, iconography and quality of preparation point to its origin from Constantinople in the period from the end of the ⅴ and the first decades of ⅵ c.
