Great Virgin -. A Christian Orthodox holiday dedicated to the Contract of the Most Holy Theotokos (15/28 AV-Harth). For more dignified celebration, the holiday is preceded by a two-week post. Although the cult of the Most Holy Theotokos had a significant place in Christendom since the oldest times, however, the feast of its success was not celebrated. Initially, the Feast of the Board of the Most Holy Theotokos was celebrated, immediately after Christmas, and later from this general holiday of the mother of God, as well as the other holidays, separated the feast of her share.
