Genocide in Macedonia -. An international crime consisting in full or partial destruction of a national, ethnic, racial or religious group by performing murders, heavy bodily injuries, forced displacement, ie its full or partial extinction. Elements of genocide are contained in the resettlement of 60,000 Macedonians from the Aegean part of Macedonia to Bulgaria, following the signing of the population exchange agreement between Greece and Bulgaria (1919). The genocide is subjected after World War II when nearly 100,000 Macedonians were expelled from the Aegean part of Macedonia during the civil war in Greece (1946-1949).
