Fourth Macedonian Merida – Autonomous area, formed after the crash of Macedonia under Roman rule (168. Eg. HE), with a decision of the Roman Senate. Representatives of the Macedonian cities, the decision was announced by the Roman consul Emilij Pavel to the Parliament in Amphipolis (167. Ex. HE). It occupied the western parts of Macedonia (Upper Macedonia), to Epirus and Illyria, as well as part of Paionia and ReviriP. The capital of the area was Pelagonija. Basic administrative units were city municipalities (civilians), and at the helm there was a congregation composed of representatives of cities. Lit.: F.
