Endemic microflora of Macedonia

Endemic microflora of Macedonia. A total of 135 endemic taxa representing 8.5% of the total number of algae is stated. The majority of endemic taxa is diastomes (85), while other algal groups, where endemic taxa are encountered, they are crafting (7), crystopchess (16), 23), PSROPHS (1) and CHRSPHS (2). Centers of endemicity represent the Ohrid and Prespa Lake, where besides endemic taxa there are a growing number of relic taxons (GAMPHONEIS TRANSILNIVA, NEXUMA TURRIS, NEXUMA HASTO, Platoniis Ohrida, Anemasus Pseojagalus, Najagora Pressonis). Both lakes are characterized by specific endemic types of complexes represented separately in both lakes (eg Diaatoma Denisosta / Angustosta / Oposric, Anumasus Yurilii / Rghimitsus Pseojulatus / Subapitsullus). Continuous changes in understanding the systematics of algae and insufficient knowledge of the microflora of Macedonia are likely to affect these data in the future. St. K.
