Ecotoxicology

Ecotoxicology – branch of toxicology that deals with the toxic effects caused by the polluted environment on the constituents of ecosystems: animals (including people), plants and microorganisms, in an integral context (Trahaut, 1969). Ecotoxicology is considered to integrate ecology and toxology, or, according to CHAPMEN (2002), it is ecology in the presence of toxicants. This is how defined, this scientific discipline covers a range of scientific research from several scientific research teams in Macedonia at: Institute of Biology of the PMF, the Hydrobiological Institute, the hygienic Institute, Faculty of Armener, Veterinary Institute, etc. Research of this kind started with us at the end of 80
