Draguits (Doggy, Logoviti) – Slavic tribe, inhabited in Macedonia (ⅵ – Stand. At ⅶ c.) On the territories northwest and west of Thessaloniki, between Thessaloniki, Ber and Voden. They participated in Thessaloniki attacks (614-616 and 674-677). There are different opinions about the origin of the name. Connects to the verb complex, with the adjective dear, etc. Under the pressure of Byzantium, one part of the tribe was withdrawn deeper into the interior of Macedonia. The tribe was numerous and very widespread. His name came in the administrative and church organization of Byzantium. There was a gorge and Draguvietia (IX-ⅹ).
