Dorothey Ohrid Archbishop.

Dorothay – Ohrid Archbishop (‡ October 1466) of Slavic origin, which in the Archbishopian office used Church Slavic language. During his stay in Kratovo, for the needs of the Ohrid Croatian Church, he ordered, Dimitar Kratovski to make a transcript of the Slavic Nomocanon (1466). It contains prescriptions of two exchanged letters with the Vlach prince Ioan Stefan (1456) and the Moldovan Duke Stefan Great. Under political suspicion, on the order of Sultan Mehmed ⅱ Fatah, with more folk champions and clerics was taken to Constantinople (October 1466), where the trace is lost. Lit.: A. E.
