Damjanovski, Risto Jordanov

Damjanovski, Risto Jordanov (village Dolanci, Demir Hisar, 25. ⅴ 1937) – Major General, retired. Primary education ended in birthplace, and a secondary agricultural school in Bitola (1955). A certain period worked in the District Co-called Union in Bitola and as a teacher at the primary school “Goce Delcev” (1955-1956). Later he graduated from the Military Academy (Belgrade, 1957-1960), the Political School of JNA (Sarajevo, 1970) and High Military Polyemia (Belgrade, 1978). He was chairman of the NMM Municipal Committee (1954-1956), a member of the SKJ (since 1955), Secretary of the SKJ Committee in Regiment, Division, in the Army and Committee of the SCM in the barracks “Steve Naumov” in the Garrison Bitola . He was a delegate at the Fifth Congress of the CC of BiH and the seventh Congress of SCM. Later, he was assistant to the commander of the territorial defense of the SRM (1988), a lecturer at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius “in Skopje (1974) and senior lecturer at the Faculty of Law in Bitola (1979) on the grounds of the general defense of the SFRY. He received his doctorate on the topic “The military aspects of the Macedonian National Liberation Movement (1893-1903)” at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje (1988). He was the Republican Defense Secretary and the First Defense Minister in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia (20. 1991 – 4. IX 1992).
