Cloud, Patroslav (Ignacius) (Celje, 15. ⅴ 1864 – Ljubljana, 15. 1896) – Slovenian and Austrian Slavity. In the birthplace, gymnasium learned, graduated in Zagreb, and studied in Vienna comparative and Slavic philology (1886-1891). Incorporated from the thesis of the Macedonian origin of the Old Slavic language, at the end of 1891 he left for the southernmost point of the Slavic world – Thessaloniki. With his research, he managed to confirm the Macedonian theory, (eg, with the presence of nasal voices). Apart from Thessaloniki, he (from nomads – cattle farmers) wrote material and Debar. He has published more things, but the most important are “Macedonian studies” that emerged smoothly (1896). Although it was difficult in the network of propaganda from neighboring countries, however, the book also meet the perceptions indirectly point to the understanding of the particularity of the Macedonian language.
