Chavdarski, Vanco (village Vladimirovo, 3. ⅲ 1930 – Brisbane, Australia, 9. 2001) – conductor. He graduated director of the Belgrade Music Academy (Prof. J. Zdravkovic), and specialized in Germany and the United States. He is the winner of the second prize at the international competition of young conductors in Liverpool, England. From 1965 to 1970 He collaborated with the Ensembles of the opera and ballet of the MNT, and in 1992 he is an artistic director of this institution. In the period from 1965 to 1970 he is director and conductor of the Macedonian Philharmonic. Since 1970 with success performed abroad with constant engagements in Australia, South Korea, New Zealand, Tasmania. He was visiting the United States, Venezuela, Italy, Spain. Realized extensive symphonic, opera (Aida, Ball under masks, abducting from the saray, pants, the Seville Barber, the cheerful widow) and ballet repertoire (War-bird, vibration, Gisela). F. M.
