Carrotnica

Barut. (v. Amzabegovo) – Neolithic settlement of a mild slope on the left side of the Svetilian River, about 2 km J-Z from the village. Researched in 1961 By Paula and Josip Koroschec and 1969/70. by M. Garashan and M. Gimbutas. In the cultural layer of 4 m, four horizons of living from the Elder Neolith (I-IV) and one of the late Neolith (Winchanic phase) were separated. According to her, and according to the cultural character of the settlement Version, Neolithic in Eastern Macedonia is separated as a separate cultural whole, that is, Anzabegovo-Tavern cultural group. At one end of the site, the villa rustic was erected (ⅲ- ⅳ.).
