Biserov, Dimitar Janakiev (Dupnitsa, Day. St. Dimitrov, 1840 – Dupnitsa, 1886) – Teacher, Society, publicist, translator, poet and collector of folk songs for Stefan Verkovic. He was educated in his hometown and in the Rila monastery of Neophyt Rilski, and then he was a teacher in a duppit (1850-1860; 1868; 1870-1879), Berovo, Maleshevo and Gorno Jumaya (day. Blagoevgrad, 1863-1864). He is the founder of the reading rooms in Dupnitsa (1858) and Upper Jumaya (1864). Lit.: A.
