Arsovski, Tome (Kosovska Mitrovica, 23. IX 1928 – Skopje, 21. ⅳ 2007) – poet, short story writer, drama author, translator. For many years he works as a playwright in the Macedonian Radio Television, and a member of the Macedonian DPM since 1959. He debuted with the poetry “Great Laughter” (1958), but the attention of Macedonian criticism turns real with his first drama “Aleksandra” (1958). He is the author of a number of plays, which practice the poetics of the lirical-realistic and psychological-realistic dialogue. His drama texts can be grouped into three groups: plays with historical topics, hired contemporary plays and comedies, and the plays “Diogen’s paradox”, “hoops” and “step by autumn” represent some kind of trilogy for the paradoxical hero located in a modern time and in a completely specific contemporary environment.
