“Young Fighter” – the first newspaper in Macedonian language in the period of the NOB. NOMSM Authority (People’s Liberation Youth Union of Macedonia), appeared on March 22, 1944. On the free territory of Kozjak, Kumanovo. The decision for its issuance was adopted at the NOMS Congress on December 22, 1943. In Fisthani, the Aegean part of Macedonia. In the first newsroom, Biljana Chalovska, Krste Crvenkovski, Aco Shopov, Boro Miljovski, Ivan Masov-Klime, etc. Because of the war, the newspaper was printed in various locations, with great breaks to become a two-week and the end weekly. “Young fighter” is considered a kind of school on a growing number of journalists, and his editors were famous names. The weekly failed to be held in the years of the transition, despite the fact that in the eighties, with its openness and critical attitude, he stirred up the Macedonian public, became a harbinger, and then one of the bearers of the new democratic processes in our country.
