Unbaptized days

Unrelested days – a calendar period in the Christian religion, from Christmas to Epiphany. Also known as dumps or Riston days. Although Jesus Christ is baptized at the age of thirty, in the popular belief, the birth period until baptism is considered a dangerous period for life and health, not only the child, but also the mother. Therefore, the period of birth to the baptism of Jesus is considered a period of dangerous to humans, a time when moving various “unclean” forces and when the deceased are near their homes. Those days are characterized by religious fear and various magical protections. In order to protect, some more difficult works are not working, and various actions for chasing demons and diseases are performed, such as Babar and Rosalian customs. With baptism (consecration) of the water of the guides, their activities are paralyzed. It is obvious that it is a pre-Christian customs and beliefs.
