Todorovski, Gane (Skopje, 11. ⅴ 1929) – poet, translator, essayist, literary critic and historian, publicist, anthologist, cultural, editor, folklorist, theatrologist, screenwriter, UNIV. Professor, academician, ambassador. He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, where he graduated from the Yugoslav Literature Group (1951). Before and during the studies worked as a journalist. The whole service life spent as a teacher at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje, at the University “Cyril and Methodius” (1954-1992). He received his doctorate on the topic “Veda Slavic and its mystics” (1965). The Faculty of Philology taught the subjects New Croatian literature and Macedonian literature in the ⅹⅰⅹ century. He is a member of the Society of Writers of Macedonia since 1951. He was with two Man-Data Secretary and President of the DPM. He is a member of the Macedonian Pen Center. He was one of the founders and president of the Council of Struga Poetry Evenings (1971/72), and the first President of the MAAK (Movement for Macedonian Action) (1990-1991). He was the first ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to the Russian Federation (1994-1998). Member is MANU (1997). He is the author of over 220 books of books from the areas of poetry, criticism, essay, literary history, pathopis, literary record, publicist, historiography, culture, rendition, anthologist. It belongs to the bearing poetry generation of authors who affirmed contemporary Macedonian literature in the world. It is translated with 24 separate editions of its books (mainly poetry and essay) in many countries around the world (in Albanian, English, Bulgarian, Vlach, Greek, Esperanto, Chinese, Roma, Russian, Serbian, Turkish, Croatian, Czech and Swedish ). He himself, as a translator and translator published over 100 separate editions of authors who wrote in Albanian, English, Bulgarian, Greek, Russian, Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Turkish, Czech, Polish and Ukrainian language. Reducted and issued elections and monographs for K. Miladinov, Rajko Zinzifov, Marko Cepenkov, Koco Racin, Grigor Prlicev, Atanas Dispolov, Dimo Hadzi Dimov, Gjorce Petrov, Dimitar Talev, Nikola Vaptsarov, Anton Popov, Mikhail Smatkatkalev, Angjelko Krstic, etc. He published more anthologies from the Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Russian and Albanian poetry in Macedonian language. As an incomplete, leading and moving creative figure of Macedonian literature from the second half of the 20th century, whose works sovereign and superiorly extend in the field of literary art and literary science, it is an invaluable and missionary contribution to the contemporary cultural history of Macedonia, with Macedonia Multiple range of creative, scientific and cultural interests; Cultural driver of important processes of contemporary literary, cultural, scientific and national affirmation of Macedonia.
