Ticks

Ticks (Azzina) – spiderid insects. The body is with very small scale, some are visible microscopic. The order covers over 10,000 species. They live in a variety of habitats, mainly on land, but there are species that inhabit and water environments. Most of the water voden species are parasites of various animals or plants. The row of ticks in Macedonia is represented by 196 taxa (193 species and 3 subspath), of which 9 paid for the play “Antica” (2 ⅰ 1940) are endemic. Most of the group of terrestric ticks, 123 species, and lower the number of aquatic ticks, 73 taxa (70 species and 3 subspecies). In the people, they are known: chicken tick, dog tick and aquatic tick.
