The caricature in the Republic of Macedonia. Funny and satirical drawing with or without text, which distinguishes the real through funny, grotesque or parody interpretation of individuals and events. The roots of the Macedonian caricature are in the folklore tradition. The caricature developed at the time of the NOB (V. Popovic-Cicro), and later within the framework of “Osten” (V. Jocic, D. Markovic, F. Varga, D. Mihailov, V. Boroevic, S. Ignjatovic, A. Vasilevski, S. Bozinovska, N. Kostovska). The World Gallery of Cartoons, the first manifestation of this kind in the world, was founded in 1969. In Skopje.: Vladimir Velichkovski, Macedonian Caricature, Skopje, 1994. Al. Cv.
