The Battle of Metone

The Battle of Metone (353 PC) – a battle conducted by Macedonian King Philip ⅱ for winning gr. Metonal coast of the Thessaloniki Gulf, ally with Athens. During the siege, King Philip is wounded by an arrow and loses the right eye. After the conquest of the city, citizens are expelled, and the Macedonian colonists are inhabited.
