Stanishev, Hristo (Kukush, 24. 1863 – Sofia, 12. ⅹⅰⅰ 1952) – Dian of the Macedonian revolutionary movement. He finished elementary school in Kukush, a classical gymnasium in Sofia and Engineering in Belgium. He was the president of the Macedonian Society in Burgas (1895), a treasurer of the Macedonian organization in Bulgaria (1896) and president of the VMK in Sofia (1896-1899), which according to his merit was impooned to TMORO. He was a member of the Supreme Body of the Macedonian Emigration (1902). At the splice of the Organization (1902), he joined the supporters of ST. Mihajlovski. After the First World War, he was in the leadership of the with-Macedonian encyclopedia Yuz of the Macedonian emigrant companies in Sofia. He was a member of the Macedonian Scientific Institute in Sofia and chaired the Great Macedonian Council in Upper Jumaya (1933). Lit.: Tuse Vlahov, Kukush and his historical past, Eye.
