Social protection – organized activity from the state for the prevention and overcoming of the basic social risks for which the citizen is exposed, family and groups population during life, such as: health risks (illness, injury and physical interaction), the risks of aging ( Old and survival), the risks of maternity and family, unemployment risks and professional non-preparation and risks of adaptation to the social environment. Social protection includes services that in the framework of long-term stationary and institutional protection in social institutions, combined with community care services through centers for daily care and social services for chronic patients, elderly people and other special needs groups, such as: mental Sick, mentally handicapped people and people with physical disadvantages. Each government as a rule adopts a social protection program at all levels, which serves as a basis for helping people in trouble for maintaining the basic standard of living, through financial assistance, food bonuses or special vouchers for health services – where these are not universally available. The border between health and social protection varies from one country to another, especially with regard to social services that include a significant but not dominant component of health care, such as, for example, long-term protection of older people dependent on foreign assistance and care. In addition to the social protection and social security of the citizens determined by the Law on Social Protection, the care of the state for preventing the emergence of social risk is realized through undertaking measures in tax policy, employment, scholarship policy, the policy for apartments and families, Health, upbringing and education and other areas in accordance with the law.
