Shredders (Ostrazda) – very small shrimp. They live at the bottom, less frequent plankton, in seas and terrestrial waters. The name received from the word Ostraion Gr. bushing, because the body is protected by a bushing of two lines. Two 12,000 fossil species have been presented. From this group of shrimp in Macedonia there are 172 types, of which 44 species are endemic and 33 are from Ohrid Lake. Lit.: PF, Holmes, Ohr, Ohrid Ohrid, Arch.
