“Saint Achilles” – Church of the Small Prespa Lake (now in the Republic of Greece). The church was erected by the Macedonian Emperor Samuel (986-990), who carried the relics of St. Achilles Lariski after winning Larissa (985). Here was the capital of the state (973-996) and the headquarters of the then patriarchate, until their transfer to Ohrid. Later here he was buried and Can-Roth Samuel. Lit.: Nicholas C.
