Robev, Dimitar

Robev, Dimitar (Ohrid, 1822-1890) – a representative of the Macedonian citizenship, an advocate for the creation of Macedonian principality at the time of the eastern crisis. He was educated in Ioannina and Athens. He was advocated for the emancipation of the Macedonian people from Elinism and for the renewal of the Ohrid Archbishopric as an autocephalous church. He hired for release from prison by the Miladinov brothers. He was one of the founders of the Bitola church-school municipality. He helped the construction of the National Municipal Churches “St. Sunday “(1863) and” St. Virgin “(1871) in Bitola. MP in the Ottoman Parliament (1876). Lit.: A.
