Provincial CPY Committee for Macedonia (1940- 1943) – Central leadership of the Macedonian Communists. The first PC of the CPY for Macedonia was established under the leadership of Metodija Shatorov-Charlo (8. ⅸ 1940). With the decision of the CPY CPY (ⅷ 1941), he was replaced and a new PC was selected: Lazar Kolisevski or Bane Andreev as an organizational secretary, Borka Taleski, Mara Naceva and Blagoj Jankov (ⅸ 1941). The new composition accelerated preparations for the start of the armed uprising in Macedonia. On 8. ⅺ 1941, after the arrest of the secretary of the PK L. Kolishevski, the PC of the CPY (ⅵ 1942), which with some changes remained until the formation of the KPM (late February 1943). Lit.: The establishment and development of the CPM, Skopje, 1973. Vl.
