Popov, Stole

Popov, Stole (Skopje, 20. ⅷ 1950) – Film director. She graduated directed by the Academy of Theater, Film, Radio and Television in Belgrade (1973). During the study, he recorded ten short student film. Works in “Vardar Film” (1978-1988), and since 1989. He is a professor of film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje. One of the founders of the private enterprise for the production of film “Triangl”. Since 1999 is a member of the European Film Academy. The professional career begins with the documentary film “Fire”. Particular success achieves the films “Australia, Australia” (1976) and “Dae” (1979), which is nominated for the Oscar. Since 1981 Popov accepts the challenge of the feature film, where he proves as a mature author. His four featurities, as well as his documentaries, achieved top successes of many domestic and international festivals (Oberhausen, Melbourne, Leipzig, London, Porto Alegre). Including politics, becomes a MP in the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia. Ig. ST. Trajce Popov
