Patristica (Lat. Patres = Fathers) – Learning Church Fathers. Dogmatics and theological teaching of Christianity were built on the works of church fathers. Therefore, these literary texts were ranked immediately after the texts of the Scriptures. The works were used on ecumenical topics for formulating church dogmas. According to the content, they occupied dogmatic, exegatic, ascetic-philosophical, logical-grammatical, didactic and polemic themes. Among the biggest names of the patristicire are the authors of the so-called. The Golden Life of the Tratistics: St. Atanasius the Great, St. Basil the Great, St. Gregory Theologian, St. Gregory Low, St. John Chrysostom, St. Ephraim Syrian, St. Maxim Confessor, St. John Damascene, St. Simeon New Theologian, St. Gregory Palamas. Patristian influence was also transferred to South Slavic Christian spaces. The works of church fathers have become the basis of many transcripts in Greek, but also translations and supplements to the Slavic handwritten tradition.
