Ninth Italian Army in Macedonia

Ninth Italian Army in Macedonia (1941 – 1943) – a military unit of Italy stationed in Albania, which in April 1941. She participated in the attack of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. It was made up of ⅳ, ⅹⅳ and ⅹⅴⅰⅰ Corps with 8 divisions and 1 mountain detection. It occupied Kosovo and Metohija, the western part of Macedonia and Montenegro. The first commander was General Alexander Biroli, and last General Aleksandar Dalmaco. Part of the “Florence” division, as an integral part of the army, was stationed on the territory of Western Macedonia. It was disbanded in September 1943.
