Nejay Peace Accord (27. ⅺ 1919) – Contract sub-written between allied and joint forces, from one, and Bulgaria, on the other. It was confirmed by the division of Macedonia between Greece, Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Sloveni. Bulgaria was forced to give up the Strumica end and part of the Bulgarian national territory (customs and Bostricgradan) awarded to Serbia, that is, the Kingdom of SCS. The agreement established the repatrement of the military captives and the interns, therefore those of the Vardar and the Aegean part of Macedonia. However, Bulgaria has accepted to retain Macedonian refugees in Bulgaria. At the request of Greece, Bulgaria accepted the peace agreement to enter a binding provision for “voluntary” eviction of ethnic minorities. The agreement Bulgaria was obliged to pay military reparations in the amount of 2.250.000 thousand gold francs, which was objectively limited its possibilities for more humane treatment of the numerous Macedonian refugee population.
