Modernism in architecture – one of the most influential stylistic patterns in architecture in Macedonia in the period between the two world wars (19191940), created under the influence of European modernism. His representatives were from the first generations of educated architects. It is based on the determinations of functionalism and constructivism, which include elements of closed European stylish formations. This stylistic determination will become the dominant stylish imperative in the construction of individual, public and administrative facilities. In certain basic assumptions, the program requirements of modern architecture are approaching the established values contained in the rich traditional repertoire of elements of folk architecture. K.
