MILADIN

Miladin (Miladinov), Naum (Struga, 1817 – Sofia, 1897) – Musical Dian and Theoretician. The brother of Dimitrija and Konstantin Miladinin from the earliest age showed the inclination towards music. As a clerk in the company “Zograms” in Durus (Albania), in contact with Italian musicians, it adopts the basics of the notary letter. In the gymnasium-Naum Miladin Zyo he finished in Ioannina, continues those findings, preparing for melographic activity. With the mediation of Janina Metropolitan, he gets a scholarship to learn at the High Spiritual Academy in Halki in Constantinople. After three years of study at the Academy, he also completes theological faculty in Constantinople. As a student, he starts his manual for Chrysan’s Nevamatic notation, which ends in Ohrid, where he formed the first school of Byzantine church singing on the reformed Nevamese notation. The manuscript of this manual was found in 1964. As a teacher in Ohrid and Struga, prepares more church singing. He is also the author of 11 melegrams of folk songs, enrolled with a western night letter, which were not published in the collection of his brothers. Dr. O.
