Melioration of the soil

Soil melaeration – Improvement of soil properties by applying various meliorative measures, which have longer, ie. a perennial action. Represents positive anthropogenation of soil. In our agriculture, to a greater or lesser extent, the following meliorative measures are applied: Fighting erosion, field melioration, change of mechanical composition, hummation, hydro-technical melioration, desalination, melioration, meliorative fertilization with mineral fertilizers, proper use of pesticides, mulching and Snowing, reinforcement of microbiological processes, removal of soil degradation in livestock farms. The greatest importance is hydrotechnical melioration (improving the water regime of soil with irrigation and drainage), as it is applied to the largest surfaces. Prior to the hydrootechnical meliorations in the Republic of Macedonia there were 67,000 ha placed areas every tenth and 102,000 each hundred year. Marshy surfaces There were 86,000 ha. By applying these meliorations, 65,000 ha of floods are protected and 64,000 ha marshy surfaces are drainage. Under irrigation systems are 140,000 ha, but it is irrigated significantly less. F. F.
