National Park “Mavrovo” – declared in 1949. It extends into the basin of the Radika River, an area of 73 088 ha. It has over 50 peaks higher than 2,000 m, and the highest is Great Korab (2,764 m). About 29 000 ha are highly mountain pastures. The geological substrate is changed in small space, and the limestone is dominated. The main motive for proclaiming the National Park is the spruce (Pice ABies), which is the bridge “Ellen Jump” (Mala Reka) in the National Park “Mavrovo” on the southern edge of the areal and the old eel forests of Abies Borizations registry.
