Makfest – Festival of Popular Music. The first edition was held in 1986. Conceived before the S “to stimulate the Macedonian work of popular music, it quickly became known with us and the world. In the last decade of XX c. grew to an international festival. His contribution to contemporary Macedonian pop music is remarkably significant. Makfest produced over 700 compositions, issued 15 LP-plates, 40 audio cards and over 50 compact discs. On him, his affirmation began many of the current stars of the Macedonian Pop-Estrada (Tose Proeski, Kaliopi, Risto Samardziev, Carolina, etc.). M. Cole.
