Macedonian Slavic tribes

Macedonian Slavic tribes – on the territory of Macedonia settled mainly after ⅵ c. They are known from the “Miracles of St. Demetrius Thessaloniki, “KN. First. Draguvites lived west of Thessaloniki; Sagadati in areas west of Thessaloniki to Veria, and perhaps on some parts of Halkidik; Versities / Exchange between Bitola, Prilep, Kicevo and Veles. Rihios to the Orifhane Gulf, and took the majority of Halkidik, and Strimoni, who lived after the course of the r. Struma. Later, the wicked Smoles lived on the territory of Lower Struma to Western Rhodopes and R. Places. They were organized in semi-gray formations – storage and military alliances. Gradually Byzantium put them under its control (firstly only gone-but). In the period ⅶ – second sex. on ⅸ c. They were Christianized and gradually their names disappeared, with the exception of Draguvites, whose name as a separate entity was used as a separate entity. Lit.: T.
