Earger (geometrodes) – Night butterfly with a closely and elongated body. Have a small head with poorly developed lambled. Active are at night. The caterpillars are moving in a distinctive way (how to measure the earth), with additional 2-3 pairs of feet on the back of the body. In Macedonia, 316 types were confirmed, of which 2 are endemic. The most famous type is the pine earthen (Buvalus Piniaria L.), known pest of pine plantations, whose larvae feeds with pine pine and other conifers.
