Kocanska valley. It extends in the middle part of the valley of the river Bregalnica, between the Osogovo Mountains from the north, Plachkovica from the south, Golak and freely from the east and low hills to Ovce Pole from the West. It is built by moving during oligomiide tectonic movements. It is lowered along the two neighborhoods emerged ISI and ZZH. It covers a total area of 1,020 km². The lowest point is located on the exit of the river Bregalnica from the Kocani valley and is 290 m, and the highest point is the top Ruen Kocanska valley Kocanska valley – rice fields (2,252 m). Evidence of tectonic movements is the emergence of thermomineral sources in the bath and Istibanja, as well as the steep sections of Plachkovica. The bottom of the valley covers an area of 11,500 ha, with an average altitude of 330 m. Due to the structure of the valley from the north and the small altitude, the climate strives for moderate continental. After the valley of Vardar and Bregalnica, Mediterranean climatic influences are entering. The valley is known for the cultivation of rice culture, so this region is the largest producer of rice in the Republic of Macedonia. Lit.: D. Manakovic, T.
