Hadzi, Dusan Jovanov (Ljubljana, 26. 1921) – Honorary Professor (1998) at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius “in Skopje (1998) and member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts outside the working composition (2006). In Ljubljana he graduated chemistry with physics (1944). Professor of Physical Organic Chemistry of the Chemistry Department at the University of Ljubljana (1953), redundant Hadzi Professor of Structural Chemistry (1962). With his assistance in Skopje, the first infrared spectrophotometer has been purchased, which initiated the successful activity in the field of molecular spectroscopy. Akad. Hadzi is one of the world’s most famous researchers on hydrogen bonding problems, and excellent contributions also in quantum pharmacology and research on biologically important systems. Pioneer is (in Yugoslavia) of the application of computers in chemistry. Member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (1967), an external member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (1975), the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb (1977) and the Indian National Academy of Sciences (1979). Honorary Doctor of Science is at the University of Uppsala (1982). He was a scientific adviser to the factory “Cure” (1981). He is the author of four monographs, six chapters in monographs, as well as over 280 scientific papers.
