Grchev, Miroslav

Grchev, Miroslav (Skopje, 1. ⅲ 1955) – Architect and urbanist. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje (1979), a master’s degree at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade (1982), and received his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Architecture in Skopje (1988). Regular professor is the subject of urban design and reconstruction. Apart from pedagogical activity, it also deals with scientific research, with the preparation of urban plans and projects and architectural design. He participated in several anonymous urban-architectural competitions. It deals with a caricature and illustration, published in domestic and foreign magazines (since 1968). Significant plans and projects: DUP of Skopje, within the Little Ring (1992- 1997, with V. P. Curobar and M. Peicic); An urban project for arranging part of the square “Macedonia” in Skopje (1994, with V. P. Korobar); DUP for the central city territory of Skopje – the Republic Center – on the left bank (1996-1998, with V. Curobar). Significant realized facilities: The residence of the US Ambassador to Skopje (1995, with K. Grchev); Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Skopje (1998, with K. Grchev) and several residential-business facilities in Skopje.
