Gradiste, Glisic, Kavadarchko

Gradiste, Glisic, Kavadarchko – ancient settlements. The long hill dominated by 80 meters above the eastern edge of the Kavadaro field extends in length of 650 m (between the villages of Glisic and Marena). The settlement on the hill had minimal city, more rural characteristics, and apparently failed to grow into a city center. It was semi-hard, with low and not particularly solid seats and embankments. Especially highlight: the long narrow acropolis in the southern part of the hill (420 x 100 m), both eastern residential terraces and a smaller North terrace inhabitively in iron time. The total area was more than 10 ha. On the ground, intensive material remains of ancient cultural horizons, volacons type, laconic type, late-ofthenist and ranorias, terracotti, minor bronze plastic, are seen on the ground. Coins of Macedonian kings and cities, as well as a treasury of Roman Republican denars from ⅱ – and c. BC The great necropolis of Roman times at the site Belgrade $ belonged to the established settlement of Gradiste. Lit.: A.
