Ginovski, Vasil (Galichnik, mid-ⅹⅰⅹ c. -?, 1924) – Zograf and carpenter from the genus Ginovski, son of Krste Petrov. His only preserved signed work in Macedonia is the frescoes on the western facade of the church in the Bigorski monastery (from 1871). Trained in the spirit of the Miay School, V. D. He had contacts with the Metropolitan Parthenius Zografski, from whom he received the “Stamatography” by Christophoric Zeparovic, according to which he worked, and schooling in Russia influenced his style. Before staying alone, due to the death of his brothers Alekso and Theophilus (in 1894), Vasil worked with several iconostasis in Montenegro in the day of Nikola ⅰ Petrovic-Njegos. His creative activity, including theatrical directing and scenography, was followed by the artistic critique of the then seal. He was one of the organizers of the presentation of Montenegro to the Great Bal-Golden Wreath at the SVP in 1985. Cannes Exhibition in London (1907). For his merit, he was honored by King Nicholas ⅰ with the fifth degree of Danileus order and with the highest Order of the Russian Royal Graphic Society. Lit.: A.
