Garashan, Milutin (white city, 11. IX 1920 – Belgrade, 4 ⅳ 2002) – Academician, prof. After archeology. Studies ended in 1946. The Group for Classical Philology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. He received his doctorate at the Faculty of Philosophy in Ljubljana (1950). He worked at the Museum of the city of Belgrade and the National Museum in Belgrade (1945-1946). Since 1950 is an associate of the Archaeological Institute; In 1957 is selected for extraordinary, and in 1963 For a full-time professor at the Faculty of Philosophy. A correspondent member of Sanu became in 1963, regular in 1976, and in two terms he was elected secretary. He was a correspondent member of Anubich and a permanent member of the Center for Balkan Research at the Academy in Sarajevo. In May 2000 been elected as a member of MANU outside of the working composition. He was a member of various bodies of scientific institutions and organizations in the country and abroad (archaeological institutes in Germany, Austria and Italy). For an honorary member of Mand, he was elected in 1981. He managed a series of archaeological research in Serbia and Macedonia. In his scientific opus, a special place occupies the study and presentation of the archaeological past of Macedonia, which he devoted almost half of his working life. From 1956-1981 It manages the surveys of more prehistoric sites: curves Dol in the village. Radiation and drill in the village. Tarinci, Stip; Shotec in the village. Suvodol, Bitola; Barut at the village. Anzabegovo in Ovce Pole; Slatina in the village. Zelenikovo, Skopje. On the basis of the discovered results, it determines the chronological and cultural character of the prehistory of Macedonia, and sets its place in the cultural evolution of prehistory in the Balkans. Of particular importance is the introduction of cultural groups, which represent synonyms for the character of certain prehistoric periods: Anzabegovo – Violin, cultural group for Elder Neolith; Zelenikovo ⅱ – Cultural group for late Neolith; Shoutovec – Copper Gumno, Cultural Group on the Eneolithic Time. According to the findings of Radan, he proposed the time division of the Iron Age. He also managed excavations of deposits from Roman times: a cross in the village. Tarinci and Skupi near Skopje. In the capacity of a professional consultant or reviewer, he helped the development of archaeological research work and exhibition activity of museums in Stip and Bitola, the Museum of the City of Skopje and the Museum of Macedonia. He published more than 370 papers.
