Dionysus – the most respected deity among Macedonians, commonly known as Bucko (Evripidova Drama Bucko is dedicated to this deity); Brigian-edonic deity of vegetation with orgian rituals carried out by the Buckings – Makes and Managers, which in Macedonia are called clodels and alalons (SP. Plutarch). In the Paiones, Dionysus is called Diallos. One of the representations of the deity is the actual plate found in Stobi. In Melnik, Asdules is shown with a vines perched on a horse, accompanied by Pan, Strong and Panther. Companions are Saudi, Sabi or Savi, hence the name of this deity is – Savadium. LIT. : N.
